CodeRun was founded by Israeli enterprenours Gilad Khen, Dan-El Khen and Alon Weiss.
What started out as an ambitious technological challenge, became a full-blown IDE.
Today, CodeRun is a US Delaware corporation, backed up by private US investors.
Our vision - to improve the lives of web developers
We believe web development can be extremely challenging. Typical web project involves
plural technologies and programming languages, along with numerous prerequisites
and configurations. In this reality, code is hard to port, maintain and deploy.
As cloud computing evolved, it becomes possible to automate many of the aspects
in web development and deployment. Under this notion, CodeRun was designed to deliver
a familiar development experience in the cloud, using a simple web browser. This
way, developers can focus on actual programming, rather than dealing with complex
configuration during development and deployment. Automation also enables rapid and
intuitive scalability, as adding more hosting power can be as simple as a single
mouse click.
